In a video, Sushmita narrated, “My life is a story I have both played and lived.A major twist in my story occurred when I suffered a massive heart attack. Those 45 minutes felt like the longest of my life, and at one point, I thought my story had reached its end.”
She continued, “But thanks to my doctors, my story continues. They didn’t give up on me, and they didn’t let me give up on myself. They penned a new chapter for my life and gave me a new direction. That day is now my second birthday, dedicated to all the doctors.”

Sushmita also conveyed her deep appreciation for the medical team that saved her life, stating, “Today is a day of gratitude. My doctors have granted me a second chance at life, and I want to thank them wholeheartedly.”
Sushmita experienced the heart attack while filming her web series Aarya in Jaipur. After a hiatus from acting, she returned with this crime action-thriller, co-created by Ram Madhavani and Sandeep Modi. This marked her debut in the OTT space. She later starred in the social biographical-drama series Taali, directed by Ravi Jadhav, where she portrayed transgender activist Shreegauri Sawant.
