Swati Maliwal assault case: Bibhav Kumar’s bail plea dismissed by Delhi court | India News – Times of India



NEW DELHI: Delhi’s Tis Hazari Court has dismissed the regular bail plea of CM Arvind Kejriwal’s aide Bibhav Kumar on Friday in the alleged assault of AAP Rajya Sabha member Swati Maliwal.
This is the second time the court has rejected his bail request, with the first dismissal on May 27.
Maliwal had accused Bibhav Kumar of hitting with “full force again and again” in an FIR.She alleged that Bibhav slapped her 7-8 times and kicked her in the chest and abdomen on May 13 when she had gone to meet the chief minister.
According to her medico-legal certificate (MLC) issued by All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) New Delhi, Maliwal has “bruises over proximal left leg dorsal aspect of approx size 3×2 cm and right cheek elbow below right eye of approx size 2×2 cm”
On May 27, a sessions court dismissed Kumar’s bail plea noting there was no indication of premeditation by Maliwal in filing the FIR, and her allegations could not be dismissed.
Then, on May 31, Delhi’s Tis Hazari court Bibhav Kumar for 14-day judicial custody in connection with the case.
