Rumours ran wild about Swift portraying the mutant pop star, after she was spotted in New York City last October with stars Ryan and Hugh, as well as director Shawn Levy.Swift’s close friendship with Reynolds, who plays Deadpool and his wife, Blake Lively, further fueled the speculation.
However, Entertainment Weekly has now reported that Swift will not be featured in the film.

The new trailer that dropped last week further fuelled speculation of the star playing a variant in the multiverse after a still featured what appeared to be a woman in the iconic red suit.
Twitter has since been flooded with fans sharing their predictions of potential female stars playing the character. Besides Taylor, some have predicted that Blake Lively could feature in the part, while others believe that the woman in question is not Lady Deadpool, but Jennifer Garner’s character of Electra.
Reynolds and Jackman will be seen sharing the screen together as the titular Deadpool and Wolverine for the first time since 2009’s ‘X-Men Origins: Wolverine‘. The actors confirmed to return for the film include Morena Baccarin as Vanessa, Leslie Uggams as Blind Al, Brianna Hildebrand as Negasonic Teenage Warhead, Shioli Kutsuna as Yukio, Stefan Kapicic as Colossus, Rob Delaney as Peter/Sugar Bear, Karan Soni as Dopinder, and Lewis Tan as Shatterstar.
