Throwback: When Katrina Kaif threatened to not marry Vicky Kaushal when he said THIS – Times of India

Vicky Kaushal and Katrina Kaif are one of the most adorable couples in tinsel town, who kept their relationship private until they got married, with no photos from their dinner dates ever surfacing. Yet, their fans always sensed a special connection between them, and it was evident from Katrina’s eyes how deeply she cared for Vicky. However, what many might not know is that Katrina once threatened Vicky not to marry her when he mentioned he would have to get back to work in just two days.

Recalling the incident, Vicky in an old interview told Pinkvilla that he had finished half of the filming for his movie Zara Hatke Zara Bachke before the wedding and needed to return to work within two days of getting married.

When Katrina learned of this, she directly threatened him not to go through with the marriage. Reflecting on this serious situation, Vicky shared:
“I have done half of the film’s shooting before my marriage and then I took off for my marriage. Right after the marriage, within two days, they were calling me on the set. Toh fir mujh dhamki mil gayi thi ki tumhe do din baad set pe hi jana hai toh shaadi rehne hi do.”

Vicky-Katrina have been giving their fans relationship goals ever since they started dating. These days, Vicky and Katrina frequently make news when they are caught out in public. Before they got married, the couple met at filmmaker Zoya Akhtar’s party. Vicky and Katrina’s recent outing pictures to meet their Mumbai-dwelling cupid, Zoya, have been making the rounds on social media.
In the pictures, Vicky Kaushal can be seen leaving Zoya Akhtar’s house in Bandra. He looked dapper as he chose to wear black joggers and a white t-shirt. Katrina Kaif can also be seen stepping down the stairs along with her sister Isabelle Kaif. The Kaif sisters were seen twinning in blue and black attire. Isabelle donned a black t-shirt with torn denim pants, while Katrina wore a black full-sleeved sweatshirt and jeans.

They leave the house and get into the car. With her open hairstyle, makeup-free face, and million-dollar smile, Katrina steals the show. Vicky gets into the car and gives the photographers a wave.
Katrina once disclosed on her appearance on ‘Koffee With Karan’ that she had initially told Zoya Akhtar about her emotions for Vicky after they had met at her party. Karan Johar, meanwhile, talked about their first official encounter at Zoya’s house in a different season, claiming to have seen their “ice-breaking” and their conversation while at her place.

On the work front, Vicky Kaushal recently stunned his fans with a powerful Chhava teaser. Vicky is portraying the role of Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj in Laxman Utekar’s directorial project. The one-minute, twelve-second teaser for the upcoming film features the actor howling like a tiger in the role of Maratha monarch Sambhaji, the son of Chhatrapati Shivaji.
Vicky took to his Instagram and posted the teaser of ‘Chhava’ on August 20. He wrote, “The Fierce Protector of Dharma and Swaraj will rise on December 6, 2024. #Chhava An epic saga of a courageous warrior! Teaser out now.”
