Watch: Biden’s phone call to Kamala Harris in raspy voice: ‘I love you’ – Times of India

Amid Republicans storming the social media with ‘where is Joe Biden‘ trend, Biden called Kamala Harris during a live event and said: ‘I love you’. Biden has reportedly been recovering from Covid and is staying at his Rehoboth Beach home. “I know yesterday’s news was surprising and it was hard for you to hear but it was the right thing to do…I know it’s hard because you’ve poured your heart and soul into me to help us win this thing, help me get this nomination, help me win the nomination and then go on to win the presidency.” Biden said in the surprise phone call where he sounded gravelly.
Biden said he is not going anywhere and will be campaigning for Kamala Harris.
“I’m gonna be out there on the campaign with her, with Kamala. I’m going to be working like hell, both as a sitting president, getting legislation passed, as well as in campaigning,” Biden said.

“I’ll be doing whatever Kamala wants me or needs me to do.”
Kamala Harris asserted that Biden was not going anywhere. “It is so good to hear our president’s voice,” Harris said
“I’m watching you kid! I love you!” Biden said. “I love you too!” Harris replied.
In her first speech Monday after Joe Biden opted out of the race, Kamala Harris commended Biden’s presidency and said he surpassed the legacy of most presidents who have served two terms in the office.
“I first came to know President Biden through his son Beau. We worked together as attorneys general in our states, and back then, Beau would often tell me stories about his dad. He would talk about the kind of father and the kind of man that Joe Biden is. The qualities that Beau revered in his father are the same qualities that I have seen every day in our president: his honesty, his integrity, his commitment to his faith and his family, his big heart and his love, deep love of our country,” Kamala Harris said.
