Watch: In New York, Rohit Sharma mobbed by fans for autograph | Cricket News – Times of India

It’s impossible for India’s star cricketers to roam freely on the streets in India without being mobbed. On overseas tours, though, the players do get such opportunities. But in the USA, where a large number of Indian population has settled, there’s every chance of getting surrounded by fans requesting for autographs and selfies. India skipper Rohit Sharma came across exactly that.
In a video doing the rounds on social media, Rohit could be seen boarding a car with his family, when a group of fans came running to have a glimpse of their favourite player and possibly get his autograph.

“Yesterday’s game was awesome,” a fan could be heard saying, perhaps referring to India’s thrilling six-run win over Pakistan.
“Thank you, guys, thank you,” Rohit responded.
India have won both their matches so far in the tournament, against Ireland and Pakistan, and are on top of Group A. They need just one more win to progress to the ‘Super 8s’ stage.
Rohit’s ‘Men in Blue’ will next take on co-hosts USA in New York on June 12.
