A video made by an alleged pro-Khalistan supporter has gone viral in which he is heard calling Canadians “invaders” and refers to his community as the “owners of Canada”. The man was allegedly taking part in a Nagar Kirtan procession in Canada’s Surrey when he started shouting inflammatory slogans.
He is also heard yelling that “white people” should “go back to England and Europe”.
In the short video clip, dozens of men can be seen waving Khalistan flags.
The man who made the video then starts shouting inflammatory remarks while others in the procession keep silent: “This is our country, we are the owners of Canada. We are proud Canadians. Go back to Europe, go back to England. You are not Canadians. We are Canadians. You are invaders. You White people go back to Europe.”
The video is going viral amid heightened tensions between India and Canada, particularly following the assassination of designated terrorist Hardeep Singh Nijjar.
Attack on Brampton temple
The incident also comes days after a violent altercation erupted at the Hindu Sabha temple in Brampton, when pro-Khalistani protesters attacked Hindu devotees during a consular event.
The incident escalated as demonstrators, reportedly armed with sticks and flags, clashed with attendees, leading to physical assaults.
Inderjeet Gosal, the alleged organiser of the protest, was arrested and charged with assault with a weapon following the chaos. The attack has drawn widespread condemnation from Canadian politicians and community leaders, including Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and PM Narendra Modi, who labeled the incident a “deliberate attack” on the Hindu community.
