Bihar deputy CM fulfills his vow regarding Nitish Kumar | India News – Times of India

NEW DELHI: Bihar’s deputy chief minister and BJP leader Samrat Choudhary fulfilled his vow on Tuesday by removing his turban and dedicating it to Lord Ram in Ayodhya, marking the conclusion of a pledge he made regarding Bihar CM Nitish Kumar‘s tenure shifts.
At the ceremonial act Choudhary will place his turban at the Ram Temple after shaving his head.
Choudhary referring to his previous remarks said that, “Earlier I had vowed to not remove my turban until Bihar CM Nitish Kumar is removed from his post…On 28th January, Nitish Kumar after breaking up with the INDIA alliance joined us.On that day I said that I would devote my turban to Lord Ram in Ayodhya.”
Reflecting on his commitment, Choudhary explained, “True that I had pledged to wear the turban until I made Nitish Kumar resign as the chief minister. But now that he has switched back to the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) after resigning as the chief minister of the INDI-Alliance, it is time for me to dedicate this turban to the feet of Lord Ram.”
In January this year, Nitish Kumar returned to the NDA fold after parting ways with the Mahagathbandhan alliance, marking his fifth party switch in the past decade. This move resulted in the collapse of the Mahagathbandhan government and the formation of an NDA government in Bihar, with Choudhary and Vijay Sinha sworn in as deputy chief ministers.
