Bihar MP Pappu Yadav demands ‘Z’ category security after threats from Lawrence Bishnoi gang | Patna News – Times of India


PATNA: After Bollywood actor Salman Khan, Member of Parliament from Purnia in Bihar, Pappu Yadav received a death threat allegedly from the Lawrence Gang. The unknown caller claimed to be working for Lawrence Bishnoi, a notorious gangster currently lodged in Sabarmati Jail.
According to police sources, the caller warned Yadav to stay away from the Salman Khan case and threatened to kill him. The caller also claimed to have conducted reconnaissance on Yadav’s various locations. The call came from a UAE number. Yadav sent the call recording to the Bihar DGP.
The recording claims that ‘they are continuously surveying several of Yadav’s locations and intend to kill him.’ The caller allegedly stated that Lawrence Bishnoi was trying to contact Yadav by jamming phone signals of the Sabarmati Jail by paying Rs 1 lakh per hour.
Yadav informed Bihar Director General of Police (DGP) about the threat, seeking action in the matter. He also sent a letter to Union home minister, Amit Shah, demanding to enhance his security from ‘Y category’ to ‘Z category’.

Yadav also demanded to be escorted in every district of Bihar and special security arrangements at the place of any event of public gathering, said a press note issued by the Purnia MP on Monday.
Yadav recently met Baba Siddique’s son, Zeeshan Siddique, in Mumbai on October 24. He also expressed a desire to meet actor Salman Khan, but he was unable to meet Salman due to his busy schedule.
Prior to this, Yadav called the Lawrence gang a petty thug on social media handle ‘X’. On October 13, Yadav threatened the Lawrence Bishnoi gang on social media platform X, calling them insignificant criminals. He stated, “If the law permits, I will dismantle the entire network of a cheap criminal like Lawrence Bishnoi within 24 hours.”
