Close shave at Mumbai Airport: DGCA off rosters air traffic controller; begins probe | India News – Times of India



NEW DELHI: The Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) has derostered an air traffic controller at Mumbai Airport following a close shave when an IndiGo aircraft was allowed to land even as an Air India aircraft was taking off from the same runway. The regulator has initiated a probe into this incident.
“On June 8, 2024, IndiGo flight 6E 6053 from Indore was given landing clearance by ATC at Mumbai Airport.The pilot in command continued the approach and landing and followed ATC instructions. At IndiGo, passenger safety is paramount to us, and we have reported the incident as per procedure,” IndiGo said in a statement
