HDFC Bank has this ‘UPI transactions and Fastag’ message for its customers – Times of India



HDFC Bank customers, attention! If you are experiencing temporary disruptions to online banking services, fret not! The bank has scheduled a system upgrade for Saturday, July 13, which has temporarily impacted several services, including UPI transactions and Fastag recharges.
During the upgrade window, customers can expect disruptions to a number of other services as well.According to the bank, this upgrade aims to improve overall performance, speed and reliability for users in the long run.

Impact of HDFC Bank services upgrade on UPI, Fastag transactions

Due to this upgrade, users won’t be able to use UPI services from 9:30 am to 12:45 pm. As far as Fastag is concerned, there will be no impact on transactions. However, the Fastag cannot be loaded through HDFC Bank NetBanking or auto-recharge from HDFC Bank account during the downtime.
“Loading of Fastag via your HDFC Bank Credit cards or Debit cards (restricted limits) or BBPS will be possible,” the bank said.

Scheduled system upgrade details:

Start: 3:00 am July 13
End: 4:30 pm July 13
“We have scheduled this upgrade on a second Saturday, a bank holiday, to minimise inconvenience. Given the scale of this upgrade, please be aware that some of our banking and payment services will be temporarily paused during this system enhancement period (13 and a half hours),” the bank said.

List of services available and not available during downtime

Details
Services Available The following services will continue to be available without any impact during the system upgrade.

– Transactions at tolls for HDFC Bank FASTag users

– Recharge via BBPS from other bank accounts

– Recharge via other bank NetBanking

– Recharge via HDFC Bank and other bank Credit Cards

– Recharge via UPI from 3:45 AM to 9:30 AM and 12:45 PM onwards

– FASTag acquiring transactions for Toll operators

Services not Available The following services will not be available between 3:00 AM to 4:30 PM during the system upgrade.

– Recharge via HDFC Bank NetBanking

– Auto-recharge via Standing instruction for both Corporate and Individual customers from HDFC Bank Account

– Recharge via UPI will not be available between 3:00 AM to 3:45 AM and 9:30 AM to 12:45 PM
