‘Kaurava knew how to… ‘: BJP leader blames opposition’s false allegations for 2024 Lok Sabha vote loss | India News – Times of India

NEW DELHI: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Madhvi Latha on Wednesday drew a parallel between the 2024 Lok Sabha elections and the Mahabharata, accusing the opposition parties of misrepresenting the BJP through false allegations and misinterpretations, which caused the party to lose a major share of vote shares in 2024 Lok Sabha elections.
Latha, who lost to AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi with a margin of over 3.38 lakh votes from Hyderabad, said, “BJP as a party only knows how to fight a straightforward war.The Pandavas of Mahabharata only knew how to do a yuddha (war) straight forward but Kaurava knew how to do the same work the other way, they knew how to hit from back.”
“Pandavas did win the Kurukshetra war field but they have lost their kin. They have lost Panch Pandavas who are their own children. They have lost Abhimanyu, a big warrior. So even history tells us that between the war of truth and injustice, the truth has to shell down and sacrifice some amount of their kin,” she added.
“We have to sacrifice our beloved voters because of the wrong allegations, wrong misinterpretations, and wrong communication that has been passed onto those simple, poor, insecure people of this country,” she said.
BJP secured victory in the recent Lok Sabha elections, clinching 240 seats. However, this figure falls significantly short of the impressive 303 seats the party had won in the 2019 elections, meaning it has been unable to convert its vote share into seats this time.
