Janhvi Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao starrer ‘Mr and Mrs Mahi‘ released this Friday and it had a good opening. The film benefitted from Cinema Lovers Day and the offer as the ticket price was just Rs 99. That led for the film to sell more tickets and see more footfalls, thus, it made a business of Rs 6.75 crore on Friday. This was the fifth hightest opening of 2024 after ‘Fighter’, ‘Shaitaan’, ‘Bade Miyan Chote Miyan’ and ‘Crew’.
However, post the offer on Cinema Lovers Day, the film saw a drop in the business on Satuday.On Day 2, ‘Mr and Mrs Mahi’ collected only Rs 4.50 crore. Hence, the total collection so far is Rs 11.25 crore according to Sacnilk. ‘Mr and Mrs Mahi’ has been doing decent considerably, however, the real test will come during the weekdays and if the film manages to hold well from Monday onwards. The Sunday numbers are expected to similar to Saturday in the range of Rs 4-5 crores.
