Neena Gupta opens up about challenges faced shooting ‘Panchayat’ season 3 in extreme heat: ‘I wanted to give up’ | Hindi Movie News – Times of India

Neena Gupta described shooting for ‘Panchayat’ season 3 as ‘challenging’. The veteran actress recalled filming in extreme heat, with temperatures reaching 47 degrees Celsius, and admitted there were moments when she wanted to give up.
In an interview with the Indian Express, Neena mentioned that they had to film in 45°- 47° temperatures and recalled a scene where she had to fall off a bike on a road covered with pebbles and gravel, under the intense sun.
Neena stated that it was tough for both the actors and technicians, although actors had the chance to stand in the shade with fans during breaks. Despite the physical difficulties, she believed the genuine effort made the show more relatable and enjoyable for the audience, emphasizing that hard work is essential and ultimately fun.
However, Neena also admitted that working on ‘Panchayat’ was an ‘exciting phase’ in her career. She expressed gratitude for this opportunity, saying she thanked God for it at least two or three times a day, as it brought her ‘Panchayat’ and other work. At this point, she is focused on taking care of her health and is hopeful for more good work to come her way. “Kaam nahi hai toh bohot takleef hoti hai, kaam hai toh jeevan sukhi rehta hai (It is difficult when there is no work, life is good when there is work),” the actress added.
Neena plays the role of Rinku Devi, the Pradhan of Phulera village, in the show ‘Panchayat’. Besides Neena, the show also features Jitendra Kumar, Raghubir Yadav, Chandan Roy, and Faisal Malik, among others, in key roles.
