NEW DELHI: The National Board of Examination has announced that the NEET-PG 2024 examination, which was previously scheduled for June 23, will now be held on August 11.
“In continuation of NBEMS notice dated 22.06.2024, the conduct of NEET-PG 2024 examination has been rescheduled. The NEET-PG 2024 shall now be conducted on 11th August 2024 in two shifts,” the statement said.
The sudden cancellation of the exam, which was announced less than 12 hours before its scheduled time, came without any specific reasons being provided.
The decision was made amidst allegations of paper leaks in the recently held NEET-UG exams, which determine the eligibility of candidates for admission to undergraduate medical programmes in government and private medical colleges.
The NEET-PG exam is conducted by the National Board of Examination to determine the eligibility of candidates for admission to postgraduate medical programmes in government and private medical colleges across the country. With nearly 70,000 postgraduate seats available in these institutions, over two lakh candidates had applied for the NEET-PG exam this year.
