NEET UG 2024 toppers’ list out: Check gender-wise performance and scores of 20 male and female toppers – Times of India



NEET UG 2024 result out: The National Testing Agency (NTA) has released the results of the National Eligibility and Entrance Test for Undergraduate (NEET UG) 2024 exams. This year, a record 67 candidates received a perfect score of 720, making them joint toppers in the examination for admission to undergraduate medical courses. The top candidates are 53 males, 16 from the OBC (non-creamy layer) category, five from the economically weaker general section, and two from the SC category.
A total of 13.16 lakh candidates qualified in 2024, up from 11.44 lakh in 2023, indicating greater competition this year.Additionally, the number of candidates taking the exam increased significantly from 20.38 lakh in 2023 to 23.33 lakh this year.
The NTA also released names and data on performance of students and toppers’ list mentioning the highest scorers in this year NEET UG 2024 exam.

How did candidates perform in NEET UG 2024 compared to last year?

In comparison to last year’s data on student performance, there was a 15.2% increase in registered candidates in 2024 versus 2023. This translates to an additional 318,617 candidates signing up for the exam in 2024.
The number of candidates who appeared also increased in 2024, by 14.5% compared to 2023.
In 2024, 294,701 more candidates took the exam.
The number of qualified candidates increased by 14.8% in 2024, compared to 2023.
In 2024, an additional 170,292 students qualified for the next stage. Furthermore, an increase in registered, appeared, and qualified candidates was seen across all genders. The percentage increase was relatively consistent between genders. Here is an overview:

The National Testing Agency (NTA) conducted the National Eligibility and Entrance Test for Undergraduates (NEET UG) to more than 24 lakh candidates on May 5, 2024. The exam was held from 2:00 PM to 5:20 PM in 4,750 different locations across India, including 571 cities. The test was also administered in 14 cities outside of India, demonstrating the broad reach and logistical coordination required for such a significant exam.
