NEW DELHI: The special court for people’s representatives on Friday rejected the anticipatory bail of Hassan MP Prajwal Revanna‘s mother and MLA HD Revanna‘s wife Bhavani Revanna in the case related to the kidnapping of a woman in KR Nagar in Mysuru district.
The special investigation team claimed that Bhavani’s role needed to be probed in the housemaid’s kidnapping.According to the probing team, Bhavani and her family members are influential and might tamper with the evidence and influence victims and witnesses.
Earlier today, the court sent Prajwal Revanna to SIT custody till June 6 in connection with the obscene videos case.
Prajwal Revanna, sitting MP and JD(S)-BJP candidate from Hassan in the Lok Sabha elections and accused of sexually assaulting three women, was arrested minutes after he landed at Kempegowda International Airport here past Thursday midnight.
Prajwal, who is the grandson of JD(S) patriarch and former PM HD Deve Gowda and is the NDA’s candidate from the Hassan Lok Sabha segment, is facing charges of multiple instances of sexually abusing women.
