India’s leader of opposition in the Lok Sabha congratulated the new British Prime Minister, Keir Starmer, on the Labour Party‘s significant electoral success in the UK. On Friday, Keir Starmer assumed office as the UK’s Prime Minister following a decisive victory for the Labour Party in the general election. Labour secured 412 seats in the 650-member House of Commons, a significant increase of 211 seats compared to the 2019 elections.
Starmer emphasized his commitment to rebuilding Britain after what he described as a “sobering verdict” from voters on the leadership of Rishi Sunak and the Conservative Party.
