PUNE: A new case of cheating has been filed against the father of a minor involved in the Porsche car crash on May 19 in Pune. The tragic incident resulted in the deaths of two IT professionals who were hit by a speeding Porsche allegedly driven by the intoxicated minor in Kalyani Nagar.
The father, who is a real estate developer, along with the boy’s grandfather and mother, remain in jail due to charges connected to the incident.
Vishal Adsul, a resident of Nancy Brahma Residency in Pimpri Chinchwad, lodged a complaint with Wakad police. Adsul claims the juvenile’s father failed to allocate open space to the residential society and developed two additional wings without consent.
Based on Adsul’s complaint, authorities have registered an offence under Indian Penal Code sections 420 (cheating) and 409 (criminal breach of trust), along with relevant provisions of the Maharashtra Ownership Flats Act, against the juvenile’s father and four others.
“As per Adsul’s complaint, Brahma Associates did not provide open space to the project and gave only one open plot to the three buildings by allegedly changing the plans. It also allegedly did not take the society’s permission while constructing two 11-storied buildings on the society’s land,” said official from Pimpri Chinchwad police.
Following the car accident, the father and grandfather of the minor faced additional charges. They are implicated in cases related to the abetment of suicide of a 41-year-old man and the cheating of a real estate agency proprietor.
The juvenile’s father is currently in police custody. He is also being investigated for allegedly swapping blood samples taken for alcohol testing in connection with the Porsche crash investigation.
