SHIMLA: While attacking the 6 former Congress MLA now contesting the bye-elections on BJP tickets, the chief minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu on Wednesday said that for the first time the sellout MLAs were engaged for a month to remove the Congress chief minister from Lower Himachal. He said that money power was played a lot, but the sell-out people cannot remove the one who has the power of the people, praise and blessings of the party high command.He said that no matter how hard BJP and former chief minister Jai Ram Thakur try, the Congress government will complete its five-year term. He said that dreams of BJP’s “Mungeri Lal” will never be fulfilled.
Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu said this while campaigning in his Nadaun assembly constituency on Wednesday. He said that BJP has no contribution in the development of Nadaun. He said that the Congress party and he has taken this region to great heights. “Today Nadaun’s name is on the national and international map,” he said, adding that development work was stalled in Nadaun for the last five years as former chief minister Jai Ram Thakur did not take care of his area. He said that BJP did not bring any new project while the previously approved development works were also stopped.
He said that BJP MP Anurag Thakur is not even ashamed of lying about Government Medical College at Jolsappar in Hamirpur. He said that Anurag should correct his information. “When I was the Congress state president, I had got this college approved on March 3, 2014 with a budget of Rs 179 crore. The BJP government was formed at the Centre in May 2014,” he added.
He said that then Health Minister Vipin Parmar has placed all the records related to the approval of the college on the table of the Assembly and Anurag should collect facts related to the medical college from the assembly and through RTI. He said that Anurag has also been cheating people regarding the railway line for 10 years.
He said that he organized the international river rafting competition in Nadaun. He said that Indoor stadium is being built in Khariri Maidan, new shopping complex will be built in Nadaun and work is underway on a plan to provide RO water to every home and the Electric bus depot is being built in Mowalghat. He said that the fight on June 1 is between manpower and money power.
