On the other hand, not many know that following the triumph of “Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2”, in 2022, T-Series head Bhushan Kumar surprised Kartik Aaryan with a lavish gift: a McLaren GT valued at Rs 4.72 crore. The film’s success was particularly notable considering the challenging box office landscape in 2022, making the celebration even more significant. However, despite the extravagant gesture from his film producer, Kartik’s enjoyment of the luxury was short-lived.
In an interview with The Lallantop, Kartik disclosed that he was unable to drive his McLaren due to damage caused by rats chewing on the car’s mat. He explained, “I drive my other car. I have hardly driven the McLaren. It was in the garage for a long time, so rats chewed the mat, which cost me a lot. I had to pay lakhs of rupees to fix it.”
Kartik Aaryan’s career trajectory is marked by taking on one franchise after another. Following “Bhool Bhulaiyaa,” rumors circulated that he would replace Salman Khan as the iconic Prem in Sooraj Barjatya’s next project. However, ETimes has learned that Kartik is, in fact, collaborating with the Barjatyas on an entirely new venture.
A source close to the actor shared exclusively with ETimes, “Kartik Aaryan had a meeting with the Barjatyas, but due to his busy schedule, he will revisit the subject afterward.”
Furthermore, Salman Khan’s unavailability has fueled speculation. “Salman Khan had informed the Barjatyas that, due to security concerns, he prefers to focus on one film at a time. This has sparked speculation about Kartik Aaryan replacing him as Prem,” the source added. However, it remains unclear whether Kartik is being considered for the same project.
Coming back to his present work, the actor will be seen in “Chandu Champion,” where he portrays the story of Paralympic gold medalist Murlikant Petkar. Reflecting on the film, he previously expressed, “The proudest moment of my career so far – playing a soldier of the Glorious Indian Army, one of the many facets of Chandu Champion’s life!” Directed by Kabir Khan, “Chandu Champion” is set to release on June 14. Additionally, Kartik has “Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3” in the pipeline, featuring Triptii Dimri, Madhuri Dixit, and Vidya Balan, among others.
